Breakthrough Technology Added to Existing Winning Structure

Carlsbad, CA – (December 22, 2021) MCA Golf announced Wednesday a revision to the existing TENSEI™ AV RAW White and AV RAW Blue wood structures to include the company’s new, proprietary Xlink Tech™ Resin System. The revised wood shafts will be known as TENSEI™ AV White and TENSEI™ AV Blue.

The existing, in-line TENSEI™ AV RAW White and AV RAW Blue shafts have been some of MCA Golf’s most successful parts both commercially and on tours around the world. In the time since the company introduced the popular Aluminum Vapor Raw series wood shafts, MCA Golf engineers have developed the Xlink Tech™ Resin System – a new construction process that has been used in some of the company’s premium aftermarket offerings, including the recently released 5th Generation Diamana™ PD and TENSEI™ 1K Pro White.

The Xlink Tech™ Resin System is a new construction process developed by Mitsubishi Chemical engineers to create a more carbon-rich structure that is stronger and more responsive. Using epoxy and non-epoxy materials to create a high density, interlinked structure, Mitsubishi Chemical engineers drove down the amount of resin used in the shaft’s construction to allow for a higher volume of carbon fiber. Generally, reducing resin content increases feel at the expense of the shaft’s durability. The Xlink Tech™ Resin System allows for a maximum amount of carbon fiber and a minimum amount of resin without sacrificing the shaft’s feel or durability.

This new Xlink Tech™ Resin system has been incorporated into MCA Golf’s existing TENSEI™ AV RAW White and AV RAW Blue structures under the new TENSEI™ AV White and AV Blue names.

New TENSEI™ AV White and Blue will be available in early 2022.
